Library Dad is a bit bogged down reading at the moment. So the blog will be on a mini-vacation this week while he does his best to finish something worthy enough of reviewing. And don't worry, the giveaways will continue as planned!
Because part of the inspiration for this blog is the free (or very cheap) books that are out there waiting to be found. Which means I don't expect to make any money from this blog and don't expect you to pay for it. That's right, I am operating not for profit.
If you don't have ads, does that mean I can't advertise?
No. I'd be happy to advertise you (as an author) or your website (as an author, reviewer, or library). My one request is that you make a donation either to the Smoot Library in monies or books. If you're an author, I'd love for you to donate one of your books.
Did the downturn in the economy inspire this?
In part. It was an idea that had slowly started to grow over the past few months. When I heard a report that library membership was growing rapidly, I figured it would be a great time to not only get on the bandwagon, but also a great way to reduce my own costs.
Are you really a dad?
Yes. I have a daughter (Elizabeth) and a son (William).
Who's Gary? Are you Gary?
No, Gary would be my father. But there's a lot of his influence in my actions. Thus the Gary at the Library feature was born. And I love how it rhymes.
